Irvine's premier youth soccer club, Strikers FC, is proud to announce the creation of the Junior Premier League (JPL) in the City of Irvine. The JPL is designed as a fun age appropriate introduction to soccer for boys and girls btween the ages of 5 and 10. Members of the JPL will train and develop their soccer skills in a fun and educational environment under the guidance of the professional Strikers FC Coaching staff. No Volunteer Coaches will be involved!
The program is designed where each participant will attend one training session per week followed by a game on Friday. All training sessions will be at Irvine Valley College from 4:30 - 5:45 on either a Tuesday or Thursday with each player having the option to choose which training session they wish to attend each week. Games will be small sided (5 v 5 or 6 v 6) to ensure each player has a maximum of touches to ensure the development of player skills). The majority of games will be held at Irvine Valley College with a few games held in Tustin in competition with the Tustin Junior Premier League.
The Irvine Junior Premier League will have three distinct seasons throughout the year:
SUMMER (June - August), FALL (Sept. - November) and SPRING (March - May).
Seasons are 10 weeks long with a seasonal fee of $150 per player. Families have the option to sign up for a singe season at a time or all three seasons at the discounted rate of $350 ($100 savings!) . All players will receive a Nike uniform.
