SUMMER TOURNAMENT RIBBONS RULE!Aug 31 2010 - jas
The Boys U11 team completed their summer tournament schedule this past weekend garnering Finalist honors while playing up in the U12 bracket in the Bayern Jr. Cup. The boys were previously crowned Champions of the Gold Division in the Fullerton Rangers Summer Classic and also won the Championship of the top division in the Santa Barbara Summer Cup earlier this summer.
During their successful summer run, the boys defeated CSL SE Fullerton Rangers, Real So Cal, and Santa Barbara Soccer Club; CSL Silver Sherman Oaks Extreme, LNSC, Fram, and Ajax, and two U12 teams. They compiled a record of 10-1-1, scoring 33 goals while giving up just 9, and recorded 6 shut outs.
Congratulations and good luck in the upcoming Coast Soccer League season.

FALL SHOWCASE TO BE HELD THIS WEEKEND IN TEMECULA
Following on the heels of its tremendously successful inaugural season in 2009-10, the Elite Clubs National League will open the 2010-11 season Friday with the ECNL Fall National Showcase at the John Blanche Memorial Soccer Complex in Temecula, Calif. A total of 64 U-15 through U-18 girls’ teams will take part in the Fall National Showcase, which will be held Aug. 27-29. The Fall National Showcase will serve as the first of five regular-season ECNL events in 2010-11 leading up to the ECNL National Championship in July 2011
RONGREN CALLS UP HUEZO TO THE USMNT 20'SAug 26 2010 - jas
ISC CLASS OF 2010 PLAYER KEVIN HUEZO WILL COMPETE WITH THE USMNT 20'S IN PERU.
Kevin, a two year participant in the Irvine Strikers Development Academy, received his first call-up to the U.S. Men's National Team 20's to compete in Peru September 1st - 13th. Kevin, named a U.S. Soccer Development Academy Player of the Week this past January, was the leading scorer on the ISC U17/18 Academy team prior to departing to compete with the Mexican club Pachuca in April.

U13 GIRLS HIJACK WEST COAST FLIGHT!Aug 23 2010 - jas
WIN THEIR SECOND SUMMER EVENT TAKING FLIGHT II WEST COAST TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP!
Great team defense and a steady stream of goals propelled the Irvine Striker U13 girls to their second consecutive tournament championship this weekend having won the Extreme Cup a few weeks ago. Undefeated in five games, the girls allowed but one goal and netted seven including a brilliant game winning goal in stoppage team with a header finish in the championship match.
En-route to the championship this weekend, the girls were 4-0-1 on the weekend defeating two San Diego Premier League teams in PQ Premier and the FC Heat as well as two CSL League peers in Infinity and Arsenal White.
Congratulations girls on a fine summer with all the best of luck this fall in the Coast Soccer League season!

Our training site has changed from Concordia to Oak Creek Park in Irvine. Oak Creek is located on the corner of Sand Canyon and Barranca Parkway.
The current training schedule has the Irvine Striker teams training Tuesday and Thursday's as follows:
4:30 - 6PM - Boys/Girls U9, U10 and U11
6 - 7:30 PM - Boys U12/U13 - Girls U13 - GU19
7:30 - 9PM - Boys U14 - Boys U19

IRVINE STRIKERS PARTNER WITH IRVINE AYSO - LAUNCH NEW AND INNOVATIVE YOUTH PROGRAM FOR U7-U8 PLAYERS!
The Irvine Strikers are pleased to announce the creation of a new and innovative youth elite training program starting Sept 18th at Alton Park in Irvine. Working directly with the Irvine AYSO organization, Irvine Striker coaches will teach the Irvine Striker training method to approximately ninety (90) select AYSO players. For the very first time in it's long tenure, the Irvine Soccer Club is bringing it's proven training methods to the AYSO community to allow the Irvine youth the opportunity to experience training in a club environment, enhance their soccer fundamentals and bring their newly developed skills to their AYSO team and matches each weekend.
For the past 25 years, the Irvine Striker training model has produced more college and national team members than any other soccer program in Orange County. Evidence of our proven training methodologies can be seen on the rosters of some high profile teams including this summer's U.S. Men's National World Cup team which had two former Irvine Striker players participating!

ISC U9 BOYS ROCK! - WIN FIRST TOURNAMENT AS A TEAM!Aug 12 2010 - jas
Win California Cup Championship!
En route to their first tournament championship, the ISC boys went 4 - 0 on the weekend including beating a U10 Real So Cal team that was erroneously bracketed in the younger age group. The Strikers scored an impressive 17 goals and allowed but a single goal!
Congratulations to Coach A.D. and Coach Ian and the U9 boys for a great start to your careers as Strikers!
